So I'm riding the train to work yesterday and was reading the paper. I'll let this short article I read speak for itself:
MAULED WOMAN EXPECTED TO SURVIVE
Wellington, Fla. (AP) - The owner of a wildlife sanctuary in Wellington, Fla. was attacked by two cheetahs Saturday and hospitalized with about 40 puncture wounds to her extremities and back, authorities said. Judy Berens owns and operates Panther Ridge Conservation Center, which provides homes for exotic cats, authorities said.
While this isn't technically the "wild", I guess we are a little closer to the truth after all.

Rest assured, Michael Devitt would have kicked that cheetah's ass. It would be hard-pressed to administer 40 puncture wounds after Mike stares it down and chokes it to death with his bare hands.
